Our Client was injured by stepping into a pothole surrounding a manhole cover. As a result, our Client suffered an avulsion fracture to his ankle that required three surgeries, as well as a shoulder injury that also required surgery. Client v. County of Cayuga
Our Client was prevented from taking his medication to address his neurologically-based tremors during his incarceration. He then experienced several seizures, causing him to fall to the ground repeatedly, which led to him sustaining a traumatic brain injury that required surgical intervention. Doctors later misinterpreted his CT scans and MRI’s. As a result, our Client was no longer able to care for his every day needs and required 24-hour care. Our Client recovered $1,300,000 from the doctors and $2,400,000 from the County of Cayuga.
$1,400,000 Traumatic Brain Injury, Pedestrian Accident

Although he was able to return to work in a limited capacity as a sound engineer, he required extensive cognitive rehabilitation. We were able to successfully demonstrate the significance of his brain injury using 3D brain imaging.
$3,100,000 Traumatic Brain Injury
Client v. Lowes Home Center
Our Client was injured as a result of a defective stool that she purchased from Lowe’s which caused her to sustain a traumatic brain injury. An advanced MRI with Diffusion Tensor Imaging identified a structural injury to part of her brain. Due to the nature of her brain injury, she was unable to return to work and struggled with her daily activities.
$1,400,000 Traumatic Brain Injury
Client v. Home Depot USA, Inc.
Our Client was working at Home Depot when another employee knocked a six-pound box off of a shelf and caused it to strike our Client in the head. As a result, she sustained a traumatic brain injury and was rendered permanently disabled. Despite the defense’s efforts to disregard our Client’s continuing cognitive impairment as being caused by her depression, with the help of a highly credentialed expert witness, we successfully proved that pre-existing depression can complicate recovery from a brain injury.
$2,800,000 Motor Vehicle Accident, Traumatic Brain Injury
Client v. Martello
Our Client was involved in a motor vehicle accident where her vehicle was struck in the rear by the offending vehicle resulting in her sustaining a traumatic brain injury. At the time, our Client was attending a Master’s program and planning on attending law school. However, she was unable to attend law school because of the difficulties she faced on a daily basis as a result of her brain injury. We successfully argued that the findings of her MRI with Diffusion Tensor Imagining, which identified structural injury to her microscopic brain tissue, was consistent with the difficulties she experienced but also that they were likely to be permanent.
